Hello and welcome! My name is Fatima Shajrah, certified Family Nurse Practitioner, mother, wife, and founder of the CPR Training Center (CTC) in Dearborn, MI.

I have proudly served in healthcare for almost a decade and over the years, I’ve cared for countless patients during the lowest moments of their lives. However, nothing could have prepared me for the day when my then one-year-old son went into cardiac arrest right before my eyes.

It happened in our own home—sudden, terrifying, and life-changing to say the least. Despite my years of healthcare related training and experience, my first instinct was to cradle my baby tightly in my arms, scream frantically, and pray that God would revive him. It wasn’t until my husbands reminder that “You are a nurse, you know what to do,” that I was able to act immediately. I performed CPR and saved my son’s life on that day in January 2024. That moment reshaped everything I thought I knew about health, family, and purpose.

Soon after, I made the decision to leave my job and commit myself to my family and my new mission: teaching CPR to as many people as possible. I founded the CPR Training Center in March 2024, right here in Dearborn, Michigan. Our mission is personal, powerful, and life-saving.

Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. It doesn’t discriminate—and it often happens without warning. That’s why I believe CPR training should be essential and accessible to everyone, not just medical professionals. At the CTC we provide BLS, CPR, First Aid, AED, and blood borne pathogen training from all of the major certifying organizations, allowing us to be a one stop show for any type of CPR certification.
